Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the UmpCrew website (umpcrew.com), the UmpCrew web application (app.umpcrew.com), the UmpCrew mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by UmpCrew ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a paid league account. Umpires added to a league roster who use the mobile app or receive SMS notifications must be at least 13 years old. League administrators are responsible for ensuring that umpires they add meet this minimum age requirement.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@umpcrew.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You agree to provide accurate, current information when creating an account.

3. Subscription & billing

UmpCrew is offered as a paid subscription with a 14-day free trial. Pricing is published at umpcrew.com/pricing. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings; your league remains active through the end of the period you have already paid for. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply to the next renewal.

The 14-day free trial is your opportunity to evaluate UmpCrew without payment. Once you subscribe, paid charges are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time to avoid future charges.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to harass others.
  • Add a person's phone number to a roster without their consent to receive SMS messages.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages, marketing content, or anything unrelated to umpire scheduling.
  • Attempt to access another league's data, reverse-engineer the Service, or probe its security.
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without our written permission.
  • Upload malicious content or use the Service to distribute malware.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including any account that triggers SMS spam reports or carrier blocks.

5. Your data

You retain ownership of the data you upload to the Service (rosters, schedules, etc.). You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, process, and transmit that data solely as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload personal information about umpires to your league.

6. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The UmpCrew name, logo, software, and website content are owned by us. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way that creates risk for us or other users. After termination, you may export your data for 30 days; after that, we may permanently delete it.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. SMS delivery depends on carrier networks we do not control; we do not guarantee that any specific message will be delivered or delivered on time. You are responsible for confirming critical assignments through alternate channels when needed.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, or missed games.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or the rights of any third party, including consent claims related to phone numbers you add to your league.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ada County, Idaho.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
